Future Plans

Plans for for after-high school; college, career, goals.

"...being able to have my own studio where I can make games, comics, and maybe even shows."

My goals for after high school are more journey-based rather than destination-based. I have multiple end goals that I believe will bring me closer to my ultimate end goal. As I have brought up a few times in this project I enjoy drawing. I enjoy drawing so much that I want to do it for a living. While I did say my eventual dream is to live off doing nothing but drawing, what I mean by that is being able to have my own studio where I can make games, comics, and maybe even shows. Even more, than drawing I like creating and I've dabbled in game making and comic writing the most fun I’ve had is taking a shower or laying in my bed thinking about all the cool things I could do in a game while how the player interacts with the world and how I would want to be able to interact in the types of worlds I enjoy creating. But all of my efforts to get to that point do need a place they can be nurtured in. Some companies I would jump out of my seat if I ever got the opportunity to work for would be Riot Games, and Trigger Animation, or be able to do some sort of supporting role in making comics at Image Comics. While I do enjoy some aspects of Marvel and DC I feel they have gone in a direction that I don’t exactly align myself with. Going through college for art, getting the experience to serious deadlines, and being able to be around others who want to do the same thing as me would push me toward reaching a stronger creative mindset. I enjoy drawing others characters and telling my own version of preexisting stories but I also enjoy coming up with concepts rather than fully fleshing things out. I do need to work on that but I intend to keep creating and to keep collaborating with those who I know have a similar vision that I do. I enjoy drawing but more importantly, I enjoy creating and I’m excited to enter a field brimming with creations.
